Long-distance moves need more planning than a move across town, but they shouldn’t feel complicated. Start by telling us where you’re moving from, where you’re going, when you need to move and roughly what needs to come with you.
We’ll talk through the job properly before giving you a quote. That includes the volume of belongings, the distance, access at both properties and anything large or awkward that needs particular thought. For some moves, a detailed call is enough; for others, we’ll arrange a visit.
The result is a quote based on your actual move, rather than a mileage figure that doesn’t account for the things that really affect the job.

Even a smaller move can become a big journey when the new address is several hours away. We’ll look at what needs moving and make sure the job has the right van and crew.

Tell us the two addresses and the date
The earlier you can get in touch, the better, particularly if the move is close to the beginning or end of university term. If the date is short notice, it’s still worth asking; we’ll tell you honestly what is possible.

We work out what the move needs
We’ll ask about the amount being moved, access, stairs, parking and any larger or awkward furniture. Photos on WhatsApp are a useful way to show us what we need to know.

We give you an accurate quote
Long-distance moves don’t have a fixed website price because every journey and every load is different. Once we understand the job, we’ll give you a clear, no-obligation quote.

We get you moved
For larger jobs, we bring two fully equipped Transit Luton vans and a trained, insured crew of two or three people. Smaller moves may need less. We’ll agree the setup before moving day, so you know what to expect.
What affects the price of a long-distance move?
The distance is important, but it’s not the only thing that matters. Your quote will take account of:
- How much needs moving.
- The distance between the two properties.
- Access, stairs, parking and loading space at both ends.
- Large, heavy or awkward items.
- The date of the move and the planning it needs.
There’s no deposit to pay when you book, so that’s one less thing to worry about. Payment is due in full on moving day.

Do you really move people anywhere in the UK?
Yes. We are based in Swansea, but take on long-distance house, flat and student moves across the UK. We have already completed a student move from Swansea all the way to Edinburgh in one trip, so moves to England, up North or all around Wales are no problem.
How far ahead should I book?
As far ahead as you can, particularly for a long journey or a move around university term dates. If your move is closer than you would like, get in touch anyway and we will let you know what’s possible.
