From Wayne and the Twiggy’s team

I started Twiggy’s with a van and a good word.

Nice to meet you! I’m Wayne, and I started Twiggy’s Removals in 2020 as a side job, helping family and friends move while I was still working my day job.

It began with the jobs people tend to ask someone they trust to help with. A sofa that wouldn’t fit in the car or a flat move. A friend moving house who needed an extra pair of hands, a van and somebody willing to get stuck in.

I enjoyed it, to be honest. I worked hard at it, and word got around. Before long, the smaller man-and-van jobs had grown into house moves, office moves, student moves and bigger jobs across South Wales and further afield.

Family-run since 2020 · Fully insured · 2,168 moves completed

It started with people I knew

The early days of Twiggy’s were simple. Family and friends needed help moving, and I was happy to help them. I learned quickly that a good removals service isn’t just about having a van; it’s about turning up when you say you will, listening to what the customer needs and taking proper care of the things they have trusted you with.

That’s still how I look at every move now. I treat my customers’ property with just as much care as I would my own.

Moving home can be exciting, stressful, messy and time-sensitive, usually all at once. People don’t need someone making it more complicated with vague answers or a call centre agent who doesn’t get them. They need to know who’s coming, what the plan is and that their belongings are in safe hands.

That’s what I set out to provide from the beginning.

Word of mouth built Twiggy’s

I have never wanted Twiggy’s to feel like a big, faceless removals company. The business has grown because people have recommended us to friends, family, neighbours and colleagues after we’ve helped them move.

The words people used most often were kind, approachable, hard-working, reliable and affordable. I am proud of that because those are not marketing words made up in an office. They’re the things people noticed when we turned up and got on with the job.

Since 2020, we have completed 2,168 moves (as of October 2026, when this was written!). That includes everything from a single piece of furniture to full family homes, offices and student moves across the UK. The jobs have become bigger, but the way I want customers to feel has stayed the same: looked after, listened to and clear about what happens next.

Bigger moves, same personal service

Twiggy’s has grown from one-person jobs into a proper removals business, with two fully equipped Transit Luton vans and a small crew of trained, insured people I trust.

For larger moves, we bring the vans and crew the job needs. For smaller jobs, one van may be enough. Either way, we’ll talk through the details first, so we can turn up prepared rather than trying to work it out on your doorstep.

We now help with:

The list is broader than it was in 2020, but I still believe the little things matter. Knowing about the stairs before moving day. Checking where the van can park. Asking about the awkward wardrobe, the fragile item or the tight entrance before it becomes a problem.

When you contact Twiggy’s, you speak to me

The number on the van 07956 288107

The number on this website is the number on the van. When you call or send a WhatsApp, you are speaking directly to me, not a call centre or someone trying to rush you through a script.

Tell me where you’re moving from, where you’re going, what needs moving and when you need help. If you have photos, send them over on WhatsApp. It’s the best way to show me the stairs or any narrow access points that might need a bit of thought.

For some jobs, a detailed call is enough. For others, I will arrange a visit so that I can understand the move properly before giving you a quote. There is no online calculator because there is no honest way for a form to judge your access, your furniture or the amount of work involved.

You’ll get a free quote based on the real job. No guesswork and no obligation to book.

Based in Swansea, moving people far and wide

Twiggy’s is based in Morriston, Swansea. Most days, we’re busy helping people move in Swansea, Llanelli, Neath, Port Talbot, Ammanford, Cross Hands and Bridgend.

But we also regularly take on longer moves across the UK. One student move took us from Swansea to Edinburgh in a single trip; another house move took us to the Isle of Wight. These aren’t made-up examples to make the website sound bigger than it is! They’re jobs we’ve actually done.

Wherever you’re moving, start by telling us the two addresses. I’ll be honest about what the job needs and the best way to get it done.

A straightforward way of working

I know moving comes with enough costs and decisions already, so I keep the booking process simple.

First, you get in touch by phone, WhatsApp, email or the quote form. Then we talk through the job properly and agree an accurate quote. Once the date is confirmed, we turn up ready to work.

There’s no deposit to pay, either. Payment is due in full on moving day.

Every move is fully insured, and if you want to talk through the cover before booking, just ask me. I would rather answer the question before the move than leave you wondering about it.

What customers say matters most

I’m proud that Twiggy’s has earned 384 five-star reviews across online review sites, including Google. More than the number itself, I am grateful that people have taken the time to recommend us after trusting us with their home, furniture, precious items, office or family move.

Positive mental attitude, great care of our items and mad tetris skills loading everything into the vans.
