Man and van in Swansea

Not every move needs two vans and a full house-removals crew. Sometimes you need a sofa collected, a few heavy items moved, a small flat cleared, or a piece of furniture brought home without trying to wedge it into the car.

That’s exactly what our man-and-van service is for. Tell us what needs moving, where it is and where it’s going, and we’ll put together the right plan for the job.

The simple answer when it won’t fit in the car

Buying furniture online is easy. Getting it home? That’s another matter! The same goes for moving a desk, clearing a room, helping a student change flats, or collecting something that seemed a perfectly sensible purchase until you saw its dimensions.

Our man and van service gives you a practical way to move large items without hiring a van, finding someone to drive it, or risking damage by trying to make it fit where it clearly won’t.

We’re based in Morriston and cover Swansea, Llanelli, Neath, Port Talbot, Ammanford, Cross Hands and Bridgend. If the job’s further away, send us the collection and delivery addresses and we’ll talk through what we can do for you.

Transport large items with Twiggy’s man and van service in Swansea

Furniture collections and deliveries

Found a sofa on Marketplace? Bought a wardrobe from a shop or second-hand seller? We’ll collect it and bring it to you, taking care with the item and the access at both ends.

Small flat and studio moves

A small move doesn’t always need a full removals setup. If you’re moving a few boxes, furniture and the contents of a studio or smaller flat, we’ll help get it from one place to the next without making it a bigger job than it needs to be.

Single large or awkward items

Mattresses, washing machines, desks, wardrobes, dining tables and the furniture that’s too big for a hatchback all fall into this category. Let us know what it is, and WhatsApp a photo if you can.

Business equipment

Whether it’s office furniture, stock or equipment that needs to travel between sites, we can help with smaller business moves as well.

Delicate and antique pieces

Some things need a little more thought than others. If you have an antique, fragile furniture or an item you are particularly worried about, give us a call or WhatsApp and tell us about it. We’ll ask the right questions and make sure we understand the job.

Washing machines, fridges and household appliances

Washing machines, fridges, freezers, tumble dryers and dishwashers are heavy, awkward and never going to fit in the boot. We’ll collect the appliance, load it carefully and take it where it needs to go. When you book, let us know whether it’s still plumbed in or switched on, so we can plan the job properly.

Pianos

A piano needs more thought than most furniture: it’s heavy, awkward on stairs and easy to damage. Give us a call first. We’ll ask about the type and size of piano and the access at both ends, then tell you honestly whether we’re the right people for that particular job.

Tell us what you need moved

How our man and van service works

  1. Send us the details

Tell us what needs collecting, where it’s coming from, where it’s going and when you need it moved. A photo is often more useful than a long description, particularly for large furniture, awkward staircases or narrow access.

  2. We give you a straightforward quote

Our man and van service starts from just £40. The final price depends on the job itself: how much needs moving, how far it’s travelling, whether the item is especially bulky or awkward, and how easy it is to get from the van to the door.

We’ll talk it through before confirming anything, so you know what the job involves and what it will cost.

  3. We collect, load and deliver

We arrive with the van and the right number of people for the move. We load the item carefully, secure it for the journey and take it to the delivery address. You don’t need to borrow a van, find someone willing to lift the heavy end, or spend the afternoon trying to fit a three-seat sofa through a car boot.

Why book Twiggy’s for man and van?

You get more than a van

A vehicle on its own isn’t much help when the item is heavy, delicate or stuck at the top of a staircase. We bring the experience to handle the job properly, rather than simply leaving you with a key and an empty load space.

We make the quote fit the job

A single chair, a studio flat and a large wardrobe collected from the third floor are not the same move. We ask about the details first so that the right van and help turn up on the day.

Your items are fully insured

Whether it is a new sofa, a family piece of furniture or business equipment, we handle it carefully. Every job is fully insured.

No deposit required

Once the booking is confirmed, there is no deposit to pay. Payment is due in full on the day of the move.

Helpful details to send with your quote request

The quickest way to get a useful answer is to include:

  • What needs moving.
  • The collection and delivery addresses.
  • Your preferred date and time.
  • Whether there are stairs, lifts, narrow entrances or difficult parking.
  • A few photos of the item and access on WhatsApp, if possible.

Those details help us plan the job properly from the start. They also mean you’re less likely to be left wondering whether the van will fit, whether the crew will need extra help, or whether the quote allowed for the stairs.

Frequently asked questions about man and van

How much does man and van cost?

Our man and van service starts from £40. The final price depends on the size of the job, the distance between collection and delivery, access at both ends, and whether the item is heavy or awkward to carry.

Can you collect furniture I have bought online?

Yes. We can collect large or awkward items from a shop, seller or second-hand purchase and deliver them to you. Send us the collection and delivery addresses, and WhatsApp a photo of the item if one is available.

Can you help with a small flat move?

Yes. Man and van is a good fit for studio flats, smaller moves and jobs where a full house-removals crew would be more than you need. Tell us roughly what is coming with you and we will advise on the right setup.

Can I send photos before you quote?

Please do. WhatsApp is usually the quickest option. Photos of the item, the stairs and access at either end help us give you a more accurate answer.

Do you move antiques and delicate furniture?

Yes, but call us first if there is anything particularly fragile, valuable or unusual. We’ll talk through the item and make sure we can handle it properly.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

No. You pay in full on the day of the move. We don’t take a deposit to hold the booking.

Can you move washing machines, fridges and other appliances?

Yes. Washing machines, fridges, freezers and other household appliances are just the sort of thing man and van is for. Let us know whether the appliance is still plumbed in or switched on when you book, so we can plan the job.

What about a piano?

Please call if you’ve got a piano that needs moving. We’ll ask about the size, weight and access, then tell you honestly whether we are the right people for that particular job.
